Something upbeat

Another track from 1999, this time it's the smooth psychobilly stylings of Demented Are Go with 'Stake in the heart', the second track from Hellucifernation.

Just like the previous tune, this one's not a music video clip, just the song with a background image. Side note: it was one of the tracks on my Halloween 2009 mixtape.

You're a vampire, I'm a vampire, too

For your listening pleasure, the sixth track from the Pet Shop Boys' 1999 album, Nightlife. 'Vampires'.

Clip found

I couldn't find a clip of S Brigade's 'A road song' for the previous post. Thankfully, Jane came to the rescue and sent me a link.1 Without further ado...

No wonder I couldn't find the thing: it's in bloody Cyrillic. Apart from the clip's barmyness, it's interesting to see a twist on the phantom traveller trope—the most famous variant being the 'vanishing hitch-hiker'.

Musical interlude

The songs mentioned in Jane's guest blog, reminded me it's been a while since I've shared any vampire music. A lot longer than I realised. So, here's a tune I like: Blutengel's 'Cry little sister.'

It's from their 2005 EP, The oxidising angel. The song's title—and tune—might seem familiar to some. And you'd be right: it's a cover of Gerard McMann's 'theme' for The lost boys (1987). Enjoy.
